Graduated with LLB (Hons) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in January 2015.

EXPERIENCE

PEARLYN specialized in corporate law, advising clients on contractual matters, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory compliance.

 

She also successfully negotiated and drafted a variety of contracts, resulting in a 20% increase in client satisfaction.

 

Futhurmore, she managed a caseload of high-profile clients, providing strategic legal counsel and ensuring compliance with local and federal laws.

 

Over and above that, she has also represented clients in complex litigation matters, securing favorable settlements in 90% of cases.

    • Admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor / Malaysian Bar of the High Court of Malaya in January

    • Retained by LF Chong & Co as a legal associate.

    • Strategic transition from legal practice to assuming the role of legal counsel at Joland Group of Companies (Developer), marking a pivotal shift in her career trajectory.

    • Subsequently appointed as legal counsel for Forest City Country Garden.

    • Demonstrated her entrepreneurial spirit by founding Liew & Partners in December.

LENNON SEOW

PARTNER
Graduated with LLB (Hons) Northern University of Malaysia and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of Malaya in August 2015.
EXPERIENCE

Lennon has experience in conveyancing matters especially those related to housing development, sub-sale, banking & finance, retail and commercial transactions.

 

He is also experienced in corporate matters which include drafting, negotiation, advising and handling of joint venture matters. He has given advice and legal opinions for corporate matters.

 

Furthermore, he is skilled in drafting and preparation of sale and purchase agreements for residential and commercial properties regardless for Developers or sub-sales and even Auction matters. He is also capable of applying State Consent for low-cost property, foreigner purchase and other related restriction in interests imposed by the State Authority.

 

Over and above that, he has also given opinions and advised in matters related to power of attorney, probate and Wills, documentation and procedural aspects to transfers and disposal of land, property management, tenancy and rental matters.

    • Admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of Malaya

    • Joined Messrs Lim Soh & Goonting which he is involved in conveyancing matters mainly in housing development projects such as Country Garden, Forest City, Eco Tropics,  Senibong Cove, Laman Melia and Tropicana.

  • 2016

    • Joined Messrs  Lau Wong & Partners in whereby he is exposed to sub-sale matters as well as matters in relation to Personal Data Protection.

  • 2018

    • Joined Messrs Munhoe & Mar (now known as “Munhoe”) in which he is in charge of its’ Johor Bahru branch for all conveyancing matters.

  • 2021

    • Joined Messrs Syed Alwi, Ng & Co. to exposed himself in corporate matters

  • 2022

    • Joining Messrs. Liew & Partners in July.

LAVIANIA PATHMANATHAN

SENIOR LITIGATION LAWYER
Ms Laviania Pathmanathan graduated from the National University of Malaysia with Honours in 2014. Thereafter she was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2015. She also holds a Masters of Laws from University of Malaya (2017).
EXPERIENCE

Being a polyglot who speaks all the four main Malaysian languages fluently, she has an edge in engaging with clients from all walks of life.


Ms Laviania has vast experience in civil litigation specializing in personal injury claims including litigating fraudulent claims.

CAREER

She also ran her own firm from 2020 to 2021 and has a myriad of experience with medical negligence, family matters, criminal cases as well as conveyancing. 

 

In 2022, she joined Messrs Arnold Andrew & Co as a Partner and managed the Penang Branch inclusive of the General Litigation and Personal Injury Claims Department.


She joined Liew & Partners on 4.6.2024 as Senior Litigation Lawyer and aims to broaden the scope of litigation in the firm with her eagerness to fight for the common man.

SHAWN

LITIGATION LAWYER
Shawn read law in Cardiff University, Wales and obtained his LL.B (Hons) in 2018.
EXPERIENCE
He was admitted as a Barrister-at-Law to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Society of Middle Temple in 2019 and as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in December 2020.
CAREER

Shawn is an Associate in the Litigation Department. He had experience handling files independently and in teams in various areas of litigation including commercial, contract, tort, land, company dispute, partnership dispute, intellectual property, winding-up, bankruptcy, fraud, defamation corporate rescue mechanisms, banking civil and family.

 

He had conducted trials, appeals, hearings, and represented clients in all tiers of the Malaysian courts.

WENDY HO

CORPORATE LAWYER
Graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Leeds, holds a Certificate in Legal Practice and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in January 2021.
EXPERIENCE

Wendy’s expertise lies in a diverse array of corporate and commercial matters, encompassing the drafting, reviewing and amending of a broad spectrum of corporate and commercial agreements, mergers & acquisitions, as well as in the conducting of legal due diligence. She has advised clients from various industries such as digital insurance, insurance brokers, personal care and beauty products, engineering, sports, Esports, Fintech, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, as well as courier & shipping.

 

 

Notably, Wendy stands out in bridging cross-cultural business dealings, as she is fluent in Mandarin and has provided legal advice to numerous Chinese companies operating in the Republic of China.

 

 

In addition to her expertise in corporate and commercial law, Wendy’s practice areas also extend to civil litigation, whereby she has demonstrated proficiency in debt recovery, defamation, shareholders’ dispute, divorce and matrimonial matters, as well as the adoption of children, disposal of land, property management, tenancy and rental matters.

    • Wendy commenced her pupillage at Messrs. Richard Wee Chambers (“RWC”) under the tutelage of Mr. Richard Wee
  • 2021
    • Admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor / Malaysian Bar of the High Court of Malaya in January.
    • Retained by RWC as a legal associate, where she practiced for approximately two (2) years.
    • In pursuits of continuing her professional growth, Wendy subsequently transitioned to Messrs. Low & Partners. Since then, she has further honed her skills in corporate drafting as well as negotiation.

    • Joined Messrs. Liew & Partners in August, bringing with her a wealth of experience and a dynamic approach to legal practice.
